Please, don’t be in flap! It is the problem for Window system start, but you shouldn’t wink at it, because it can cause some other serious problems. So until there are no other problems with your computer, eliminate spoolsv.exe error.

The most common reason of this error can be the excess of .SHD and .SPL files. SHD file contains the information about the sender of the print job and to what printer these files have been transmitted. SPL files are important for drawing commands. These files were created by print spooler to save the data about the print job. This error can cause the gear use of CPU of the computer, even 99% or 100%. This can happen because of the overflow of the spool folder and printer is incapable to execute the print jobs, but it still attempt. This process wastes all CPU, and your computer becomes hung.

There are several methods of solution of spoolsv.exe error. You should remove all the .SHP and .SPL files:

1. Right-click Computer, then choose manage, find and click services and applications, select print spooler and click stop and OK.
2. Then open the following: C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers
3. Remove all .SHD and .SPL files from this folder.
4. Then you should delete all TMP files (computer/C:Temp)
5. Restart Spooler service: Right-click Computer, choose Manage, click Services and Applications, Print Spooler and click Start and OK.

If this method is useless for you, please restore your Windows system. You can do it with the help of Microsoft Windows setup disk. Or use other way of restoration:

1. Click Start, choose All programs, then Accessories, find System tools, System Restore, click restore my computer to an earlier time, then click Next. Here you should choose the date of the restoration and click Next.

But the most effective method to eliminate spoolsv.exe error, to our mind, is to scan your computer for viruses. You should remember that some application errors can be caused by some malware. Sometimes the system processes are vulnerable places for viruses. Viruses can take an access remote for hackers, and then some malicious programs (with the name similar to the names of the system processes) steal your private information. That’s why you should find viruses and other malware with the help of some antivirus programs and, on the safe side, restore your system with the help of Microsoft Windows setup disk.
